..... but where did you find this SSS 2960 2650kV motor? I am looking for something like that to updrade my Jupiter, but cannot find it...

Die letzte Woche hatte ich bereits etwas Technik bestellt.
Bin mal gespannt ob ich den Motor unter die Merc 20H Haube von Hans-Ake bekomme, sollte bis auf 5mm hinhauen.
Das TFL Lower Leg mit 75° Flexwelle wiegt etwa 30 Gramm mehr als das TFL Mini.
Der Motor ist ein SSS 2960 mit 2650kV mit Kühlmantel und 170 Gramm.

Welches Lower Leg würdet Ihr nehmen ?

Last Week i already ordered some technical Devices, like Lower Legs with 75 Degrees on the Flex Shaft and the standard TFL Mini.
I am not sure if the Motor will fit under the Merc 20H Cover from Hans-Ake, should work with 5mm Distance.
The Motor is a SSS 2960 with 2650kV and weighs 170 Gram.

What Lower Leg would you use ?

Mini TFL will fit with no problems, although the bigger one could also fit on this big boat. Depends on the mounting position at the transom, you will like to aim to get the propeller 3/4 to 3/5 th submerged.

The 2690 is a bit big, but as it is an inrunner would be good. The hood is another thing, that might be problematic.

What propeller are you going to use? With 2650kv I am guessing you will run 3S, then a 33mm would be verry close to maximum Yardstick.

Back to the outboard; if you plan on running a 33mm prop, use the mini TFL. It's a bit sleeker in the lower leg, so the propeller will have a better waterflow to it. But check out te modifications on the mini, to make it more reliable like coper tube in stead of Teflon, and better propshaft bearings.
