I hope your winter was productive.

At the crossroads with Aeronaut spitfire means that I'm having doubts about spending money on the needed electronics to make this particular kit a working model, I finished the kit in early March and have been self debating on what I should do next.

I think that Lex said once in a thread that "it is a good shelf display" and I feel the same way.

I would like to build the Foo_ling or one of the others but this spitfire is flawed in it's design and lack of full stringers to support the pounding it would take on any body of water. Thanks Peter

Put electronics in it and go out having fun with it.
You will learn alot what works and what doesn't work.
This knowledge you bring in to the JINX that you are going to build next........

No worries!

You can put the gear in, try it out, see that it doesn't behave and all the more enjoy the boat you're building in the meantime. Unless you unrecoverably sink the spitfire you can than take all the gear out, put the boat on the shelf (or in the oven, but not much warmth to be expected from ...) and equip your FooLing with the electronics.

I think I'll take your advice and purchase the rest of the electronics and see how is goes.

The lake ice just left here on Saturday so it will be a little while before I launch it the water.

I will post some photos or video when it warms up...I might have fetch it from the bottom of the lake and the temperature of the lake right now is +1! Peter

This boat hit the scales at 1.175 k With all the running equipment.
