Hi everybody.
It's a long time I have not posted about the building of my 152VO and it did not progress as fast as I wished. It is now nearly ready to run but unfortunately, I stored the decals so well that I can't find them.
This will give me the opportunity to put my office in order, long awaited by my wife.
Other than decals, I have to make the link between the ESC compartment (between the pilot legs) ant the battery, through a circuit breaker, build a gas handle and set several accessories (handles on the hull, helmet, life jacket).
The following pictures are a bit outdated but show how I built this model, rather differently than the Aero Naut kit and, I hope, more easy to set up.
seen from 3/4 front during painting.
Seen from bottom with the characteristic single step.
Testing of the steering system. The servo is horizontally set on the wall. The ESC will be in the box between the pilot's legs.
The same with the Dashboard. The steering wheel is moved with a micro servo driven in parallel with the steering servo. This takes less room than the Aero Naut system and leaves all room for the battery in the front compartment.
The pilot is driving.
Still to do : modify his driving suit, his helmet and make the life jacket. Later, I will make a false cover imitating a vintage two cylinder motor
I choosen "Beastie" the mascot of Free BSD (a computer operating system) because computing was one of my ancient jobs before I retired and also because it is free of licence. (so the name : Half Devil)
