Wow - you have the Allyn Sea Fury twin outboard on the transom - a very nice and rare motor! :top:
Will it be strong enough to move the boat?

Cool! Starting as a (near) submarine to become a flyer! :top:

Is it you, doing the gymnastics?

Of course we need rules. How could we cheat if there were no rules?

Hi Jo - I would imagine the Sea Fury would be MORE than enough power for that boat. But, I have never run the twin as it needs a new bearing made for the upper part of the crankcase. The crankshaft is very loose in the case...

Nevertheless: this old motor seems to be too valuable to be run in hard races - it will make a beautiful shelf queen as well. ;)

I have several of the single cylinder Sea Fury and Atwood .049 outboards and have run those in the past. They do quite nicely on a small runabout I built.

Hello Chini,

great to see you. Welcome here in the forum. In various other forums I have already read some Posts from you and we had already written. About your Hedlund plans which you have taken from the original had already a look.

Unfortunately, we build in accordance with our Regulations only Boats till to 1965.

But for a few weeks in this post stands that the Roundnose will be designed at the beginning of the 60th.

-> HERE <-

With this info it completely fits in our pattern. Many thanks for the Hedlund plans.

I put the Roundnose on my Todo-List for 2014

Can we expect you to our Second Cimpetition in Germany? Then we keep a place for your tent

Yeah! And it would be nice if you'd come around with your 30-H and one or two of the original boats!

As much as I would love to travel to Germany for the races, I don't see that happening within my budget.

My Hedlund is actually a Hedlund copy, built in the mid 1970s by a regional boat builder, but the design is indeed from the 1960s.

Not sure how this expression would convert to Euros, but here in the States I like to say that my Hedlund would turn on a dime (10¢) and give you 9¢ change...

The Hedlund hydro design seems to be very interesting as a 152VO model because of its big canopy. Ideally suited to hide all our RC stuff. Most of the three pointers are much too flat to get anything inside.
