Sorry my Deutch is more spoken than written or read! So Im afraid I would have to write in english for now.
Im currently living in Gotzis, Vorarlberg Austria. Im Austrian born but lived most of my life in Chile South America.
Im a professional antique auto restorer and now working for a collector here. As a vintage car fan, and powerboat racing fan al my life, I have a small collection of vintage 1;1 scale power boats, among them, my favorite being a Hall Kellys Ben Hur hull built in New York 1961. I installed a Mk 75H racing Merc to it.
So image my joy and surprise when I found out your scaled down version of her!
I found your web site looking for any group to join regarding RC boat racing in the area, and was amazed to find out that your organization fits perfectly with what I always thought RC power boat racing should be!
My father used to race a slightly bigger version of Kellys Fu-Ling with a 50HP Merc in 1960/62.
Hall Kelly visited Chile at that time and sold some of his plans to a small boat yard there. He modified Fu-Ling for a more universal use in Chile like racing and skiing.
I would like very much meet any of you, and get involved in the activity if you would have me.
Don't know if you meet outside your big anual race.But would like to se some water action to be able to decide what category or boat style I would like to join, and have some time before somer to work it all out with your help.

Do you have any other instances during the year where you gather and put your boats in the water?
Maybe you know of somebody nearer my location who could show me around the activity to familiarize myself with it.

I have a million questions!
An will take your advice to find out who is close to me. I really would like to look at a boat, motor, lower unit, find out what can I do by myself and what would I have to buy, etc, etc!
