Hi Steve,

yes, my name is Rolf, but my nickname since more than 40 years is Floh (Flee)
Don't hesitate to ask, I started here 3 years ago and without this very good community it would be impossible for me to build my first boat!

Block size is 10mm, silicone hose diameter outside 5mm, inside 3mm. The lead through inside diameter is 5mm.

On this photo you see an expensive solution:

Here is a cheap solution, works also fine:

This is the Aluminium lead through:

Here the front block:

Here you find the shackles: www.newcapmaquettes.com/Nickel-Plated-Br...ckles.html?fromrec=1

You can buy the metal rings in a fishing tackle shop.

This is the front block: www.newcapmaquettes.com/Poulies-de-renvo...142LB.html?fromrec=1

This the rear one: www.newcapmaquettes.com/Poulies-a-manille-PM10LB.html?fromrec=1

Lead through: www.tfl-hobby.de/Schlaeuche-u--Zub-/Schl...er-5mm-Schlauch.html

For the outboarder, floating bearing, much better than the original one: www.tfl-hobby.de/Antrieb/Aussenborder/au...luminiumbronze-.html

Flexdrive as a spare part, you need a couple of them during a year: www.tfl-hobby.de/Antrieb/Flexwellen/Flex...r-Rolle--rechts.html
Take the measurement before you order!

Flexdrive brazing: www.tfl-hobby.de/Antrieb/Flexwellen/Flex...n-und-schleifen.html
Coupler for the round flexdrive (original is square!): www.tfl-hobby.de/Kupplungen/fuer-4-mm-st...-3-2-mm-VA-1012.html

I hope this helps a little bit.

Steve, if you like you can have a look on my website. There you can find further informations and a lot of photos from my Baby Bullet (also a modification of the outboarder and another water cooling) and from the Foo Ling.
You can download it. Perhaps this also helps:

FOO LING

Note: in this community are a lot of guys who are much better in building a model! I am somewhere between low and high level :bauen:

No... this helps a LOT! Thanks very much Flea I really appreciate it. It's Friday night here and a few beers after work so will leave until tomorrow morning to study this further.

Cheers :bier:

Not a lot to report but have made a stand for the boat, put on the outboard battens, transom/bottom hull supports (knees?), keel and a floorboard for servo.

Verry nice job on the Atomite! The keel is interesting. Normaly we put a fin underneath the hull to stabilize the cornering, but this keel could also do the trick. I'm verry interested in how she will run.

Keep up the good work! :top: :bauen:

Oh yes, a wooden turnfin. How do you change it when it's damaged?
Look at this Aluminium fin from my boat after a race crash:
